Jupiter FD was founded to give ambitious Cardiff, Swansea and South Wales businesses access to senior finance leadership — without the cost, or the wait, of a full-time hire.
Jordan founded Jupiter FD after a decade working inside businesses ranging from SME manufacturers and distributors to a £150m divisional finance function — and noticing the gap sitting between the two. Growing businesses were either drowning in bookkeeping-level reporting with no one senior enough to challenge it, or facing the cost and commitment of a full-time FD they weren't ready for. Jupiter FD exists to close that gap: senior, hands-on finance leadership, sized to fit the business rather than the other way round.
Most businesses turning over less than £15m don't yet need a full-time Finance Director — that's exactly where Jupiter FD fits.
Jordan still works inside a business as an FD himself — so the advice comes from someone actively running the numbers day to day, not just consulting on them.
Every engagement looks a little different, but these are the things Jordan won't flex on — from the first phone call through to the board pack behind a funding round, years down the line.
A good report answers "so what?" — not just "here's what happened." Every number comes with the decision it's pointing you toward, explained the way you'd explain it to a colleague.
Getting the numbers accurate and compliant is Financial Controller-level work — the floor, not the service. An FD's job starts where that stops: turning those numbers into the call the business makes next.
Board meetings, cash flow reviews, the call before a big decision — Jordan shows up for the moments that actually shape the business, not only the month-end close.
Manual spreadsheets and outdated systems slow every decision down. Keeping the software behind your numbers current is part of the job, not an afterthought.
